Educational content, not professional advice

Applicator Prep is a study and field-reference resource for people pursuing or maintaining a pesticide applicator certification. It is provided for general educational purposes only and is not professional, legal, or agronomic advice. Nothing here creates a professional relationship or guarantees any exam result. This site does not certify anyone: certification is granted by your state's certifying agency (typically the department of agriculture) under standards set by the EPA. The calibration and mix-rate workflow is a study and planning aid, never a substitute for label directions: the pesticide product label is itself the controlling legal document for any application.

Accuracy and dated facts

We check every fee, category, continuing-education requirement, and reciprocity rule against a primary source (a state agency or the EPA) and stamp each page with the date it was last checked. Rules and fees change, and a figure that was correct on its check date may be updated afterward. Always confirm current requirements with your state's certifying agency before you rely on them.

Applicator Prep is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or administered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or any state department of agriculture or other certifying agency. Names of agencies and regulations appear only for accuracy and never imply a partnership.

Intellectual property

The text, guides, practice questions, calibration workflow, worked examples, and graphics on this site are original works created by Applicator Prep and Urban Algorithm LLC. Our practice questions are authored from scratch against the public EPA exam topic outline and public regulation, which are facts and not copyrightable; the questions and explanations themselves are ours. Our calibration and mix-rate math is authored from public arithmetic and the public EPA category structure (40 CFR Part 171). You may read, link to, and share our pages for personal study. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or resell our content without written permission. Illustrations are original or AI-generated artwork; we use no licensed stock photography.

Limitation of liability

Applicator Prep is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
